Cupcakes-

1 box vanilla cake mix

zest of 1 orange

 

Icing-

1 c. crisco

1 lb. confectioners sugar

1 t. vanilla extract

2 T. water

zest of 1 orange

orange food coloring

 

Prepare vanilla cake mix following package directions. Stir in zest of 1 orange. Line cupcake tin with papers and fill 3/4 full with cupcake batter. Bake according to package. In the meantime, using a stand mixer or electric mixer, mix togther crisco, vanilla, and water. Gradually add confectioners sugar. Then mix in orange zest and food coloring. Once cupcakes have cooled frost with icing and decorate.
