Crab Shooters

6/29/11

One of the best things about camping is the friendships that are made. Campers rely on each other more so when camping than they normally would in their everyday lives. Bonds form while working together to make it out there in the wild outdoors. Weather it be helping to pitch a tent, start a fire or in our case… to stay dry, teamwork always plays a part. My camping crew and I just “survived” a week at Ft. Wilderness Campground in Orlando, Florida. We worked together in creating some FEASTS- with Big Daddy Don on the grill, us girls on the chopping block, and all of Linda and Jimmy’s KP efforts. I also must give tribute to Todd’s succulent wing sauce… it was the best I have ever tasted. (I think my husband was actually drinking it with a straw at one point.) This is one of the things we made…

Recipe
1 1/2 c. tomato juice
10 swigs tobasco
5 swigs worchestire
2 T. horseradish
3 T. vodka
3 scallions
S&P
In a mixing bowl, combine tomato juice, tobasco, worschestire, horseradish, vodka, salt, and pepper. Divide crab meat into approxamately 1/8 cup portions and place in several small cups or shot glasses. Pour enough of the tomato juice mixure over crab meat to cover it about half way. Chop scallions and sprinkle on top. Serve chilled.
